The rainbow obsidian stone centrepiece of these Made in Earth pieces is formed when molten lava from a volcanic eruption cools rapidly.
The different layers of lava that cool at different rates, temperatures and densities within the gemstone transmit the different colours of the spectrum. As a result of this a rainbow effect is created, hence the multicoloured nature of these rings and pendant.
These sterling silver pieces are the latest additions to Made in Earth’s Carved Rainbow Obsidian collection. Each ring in the collection comes in different sizes.
Widely known as the ‘Stone of Pleasure’, the rainbow obsidian ring and pendants have been released in time for Valentine’s Day.
The pieces are currently available to retailers.
