Thomas Sabo announces breast cancer support

Jewellery brand Thomas Sabo will donate $5 from every Pink Ribbon charm purchase to Cancer Council Australia to support people affected by breast cancer.
The charm is part of the new Charm Club collection and features a freshwater pearl and pink-enamelled sterling silver ribbon.

It is the first time Thomas Sabo has officially aligned with a charity organisation in Australia.

Philip Edwards, managing director for the brand’s local distributor DGA Duraflex Group Australia, told Jeweller that the initiative was a long-term agreement.

“Our goal is to provide an ongoing financial contribution to the organisation,” he said.

The RRP for the charm is $45 and it is available from all Thomas Sabo national stockists.

Established in 1961, Cancer Council Australia is a federal organisation that advises the government and other bodies on practices and policies to help prevent, detect and treat cancer.

Pink Ribbon Day is the council’s official breast cancer fundraising initiative. Taking place this year on Monday 28 October, it aims to raise awareness and funds for prevention programs, support services and breast cancer research.
