The heist occurred as two female staff members were setting up for the day.
CCTV footage has been re-released which shows one man – carrying flowers and disguised as a florist – forcing his way inside the store and pushing one of the workers to the ground. He then puts on a balaclava and produces a gun.
Seconds later, the shop’s security camera shows an accomplice entering the store on High Street in Thornbury and taking jewellery from a display cabinet.
According to reports, the first man is believed to be aged between 45 and 55, about 175cm tall with a solid build and grey-coloured hair. The other robber is thought be about 20-30 years old with dark-coloured hair.
The jewellery store has since closed and police report that one of the staff members is yet to return to work and is having ongoing counselling.
