Kiwi jeweller Karl Williams, who recently won the Gemological Institute of America’s 2010 George A Schuetz Design Contest, is poised to make an appearance at the upcoming New Zealand Jewellery Fair (NZJF).
Williams will share his work as a jeweller, his inspirations and will show drawings of the winning GIA design as he talks about the thrill of winning the prestigious award.
Besides Williams’ presentation at the NZJF, European brand Thomas Sabo will exhibit its products for the first time at Auckland, joining international brands including Pandora, Guess, Pilgrim, Edge of Sweden and Victorinox at the show.
Other suppliers that will be exhibiting their products at the show for the first time include Peekays Findings, Silverstone Jewellery, Ichu Jewellery, Ista Designs, Simply Italian, Tevel International and Timesupply.
Following its successful launch in 2009, this year’s fair will again include a programme of seminars – on topics such as succession planning and growth opportunities – for the benefit of manufacturers, retailers and designers.
The New Zealand Jewellery fair will be held across two days from September 25 to September 26 at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland.
