Tapping into the beauty of Australia, Renee Blackwell’s latest collection features unusual local stones.
A pink Australian rhodonite cabochon hangs from a facetted hematite in one pendant, while a vibrant green Australian prehnite cabochon dangles off a citrine in another pendant.
The third pendant in the collection features an Australian river jasper cabochon and a vintage glass button.
The other pendants include Australian stones such as the Tasmania-mined serpentine with stictite, chrysoprase, petrified wood, zebra stone, gaspeite, peanut stone and tiger iron.
Renee Blackwell sourced most of the Australian stones in this collection from the Northern Territory and Queensland.
Renee has been designing jewellery for 25 years. She travels to disparate parts of the world seeking fascinating gemstones, beads and artefacts to create unique, one-off jewellery pieces.
