Weekend Reading

Meet the jewellery designer behind Kylie Jenner’s Teen Vogue cover, Tiaras take the spotlight on Met Gala red carpet, Jeweller Melissa Joy Manning talks sustainable jewellery

Kylie Jenner might be the on the cover of the latest issue of Teen Vogue but it’s the jewellery that really steals the show. The young jeweller responsible for the burnished silver pieces has quickly risen to fame with stars like Emma Watson and Nina Dobrev wearing her designs. Landing on the front cover of Teen Vogue, however, is the biggest tick off her career bucket list thus far.

Earlier this week A-list celebrities took to the red carpet for the annual Met Gala event. This year’s theme, China: Through the looking glass, saw many celebs such as Rihanna, Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker don theatrical bejeweled headpieces and statement jewellery. See below for the full coverage.

Celebrating nature and various ‘wild forms’, designer Melissa Joy Manning has a commitment to creating sustainable jewellery. Her continually evolving, experimental pieces showcase dramatic and colourful gemstones.
