Princess Mary parties in Ole Lynggaard

Denmark Crown Princess Mary has been spotted wearing an Ole Lynggaard tiara, brooch and earrings to her father-in-law Henrik’s 75th birthday party in June.
The Australian-born princess reportedly saw the tiara in May at an exhibition at the Amalienborg (Royal Palace) Museum and loved it immediately.

“It is seldom that any of the Royal family chooses to wear a tiara that is not their own – so this was a very special occasion,” said Pernille Møbjerg, public relations and communications, Ole Lynggaard.

Designed by Ole Lynggaard head designer Charlotte Lynggaard, the piece entitled Midnight Tiara took almost 300 hours to make and features white and rose gold, diamonds, moonstone and black silver.

It is valued at around $AU360,000.

Following the exhibition, which closed on August 2, the tiara will become a showpiece, lent to various exhibitions and major venues and events.
