In a bid to attract consumer attention to the awards, the JAA and awards major sponsor Pandora will feature in a 32 page supplement on this year’s awards in a prominent consumer magazine.
While he was unable to confirm final details at the time of publication, including the consumer magazine, JAA CEO Ian Hadassin said that Pandora was instrumental in arranging the media partnership.
This year’s awards evening will run concurrently with the JAA International Jewellery Fair (IJF), will be “something out of the ordinary,” according to Hadassin.
“It will be an event to be remembered - it won’t just be an ordinary dance or awards presentation. Instead of it just being an industry event, we want to use it to bring the industry to the attention of the consumer,” he said.
Winners of the awards will progress to compete on a world level at the 2011 International Jewellery Design Excellence Awards in Hong Kong.
