Bold jewellery trends raise the stakes this season

Fashion is notoriously fickle so it’s no surprise that a swarm of new ways for consumers to accessorise with jewellery has emerged this spring-summer.

The latest season is all about unique looks, from lobe layering to statement earrings and mixed metals.

The push for personalisation is in full swing and Jeweller’s October issue – out now – investigates the local and international trends set to dominate fashion jewellery this season.

Speaking of dominating, men’s jewellery continues to solidify its place as both a necessary and highly sought after category. Jeweller’s annual men’s jewellery report finds that optimism abounds as suppliers refine products in line with the Aussie male’s conservative but far from dull demands.

The October issue also has the scoop from the International Jewellery Fair in Sydney as well as the winning pieces from the inaugural JDA Awards and the JAA Australasian Jewellery Awards.

Gretchen Gordon says hiring sales staff can be much more difficult than hiring for other positions. She offers a five-step process to help business owners get it right.

There’s a whole lot more in Australia and New Zealand’s #1 jewellery industry magazine, including plenty of useful advice that could help to improve sales and profitability. See below for more details.
