Platinum Guild launches Facebook initiative

Platinum Guild International has launched an online contest on Facebook called ‘Platinum Day of Love’ to raise the profile of the white precious metal.
The contest invites couples to share what their ‘Platinum Day of Love’ is. According to the Facebook page, the ‘Platinum Day of Love’ is “an intimate and momentous instance in a couple’s journey when they realised they were meant for each other.”

Platinum Guild International has used Facebook as a platform for couples to share their stories and photos online.

Visitors to the Platinum Guild’s Facebook page will be able to vote on the content and the couples with the highest voted stories will win an exclusive piece of platinum jewellery designed by Indian luxury designer, Poonam Soni.

Soni is said to have pioneered the concept of bespoke jewellery in India in 1989. She was one of the first Indian jewellery designers to build a name for her high-end jewellery line overseas and has graced the covers of international magazines like Vogue, Hello and People.

There are weekly and monthly prizes for the most popular couple as well as the most active fans.

The contest will run until February. Anyone can log onto www.facebook.com/platinumdayoflove to participate.
