Ball’s new Engineer Master II Diver Worldtime watch pays homage to its brand ambassador Guillaume Nery, a French free diver.
The timepiece features a caseback engraved with Nery’s portrait and the hour, minute, second hands and dial have 55 micro gas tubes to enhance the timepiece’s night reading capability.
It also includes day and date functions as well as a world time display. It has an illuminated bi-directional multi-city rotating inner bezel that is actuated by a screwed-in crown at 2 o’ clock.
Due to a notched mechanism mounted on ball bearings, the crown can be adjusted with extreme precision and allows the automatic movement to operate in different time zones.
Crafted from stainless steel, the brushed case is 45mm in diameter and 15.4mm in height, and has anti-reflective sapphire crystal, screwed-in crowns.
The screwed-in crown positioned at 3 o’ clock is used to adjust the central minute and hour hands, wind the watch and adjust the date. The crown shoulder protection is not there for mere aesthetics; it protects the crown from shocks up to 5000 Gs and guarantees water resistance up to 300 metres.
The watch is anti-magnetic up to 4,800 A/m and comes with an automatic calibre 965 movement. Its strap comes in stainless steel or rubber in black and white versions.
