GUESS' new Sparkling Pink watch designed to aid breast cancer research

GUESS Watches has joined forces with the National Breast Cancer Foundation as a research partner.
In a show of support for breast cancer research, GUESS has designed the Sparkling Pink, a limited edition ladies watch, in what will become an annual global initiative for GUESS Watches.
Natalee Hubbard, promotions consultant for Designa Accessories, national distributor for GUESS is upbeat about the global initiative.
“Unfortunately breast cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death in Australian women,” Hubbard said. “This watch gives us an opportunity to raise funds and awareness to fight the battle against breast cancer.”
GUESS will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each Sparkling Pink watch in Australia to the foundation, effectively helping raise funds for future research into the prevention and hopeful cure of breast cancer.
“The Sparkling Pink will be a limited edition design every year to be released for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October,” Hubbard said. “We hope to make this an annual success and build on our contribution year on year.”
According to Hubbard, the response garnered thus far has been overly positive with both GUESS and the National Breast Cancer Foundation building a strong relationship for the future.
“It’s wonderful to give something back to one of our core demographic (women),” Hubbard added.
The 2011 Sparkling Pink watch features the pink ribbon – the national symbol representing the battle against breast cancer and the watch has a multi-functional dial noting the day and date along with 12 pink accent crystals.
“This watch is available now and will feature in the National Breast Cancer Foundation booklet handed out at their fundraising events,” Hubbard said.
