GoldenAge International (GAI), a Palloys Group subsidiary, specialises in jewellery findings and manufacturing, and its latest 557 square metre facility is said to be the largest of its kind in Hong Kong.
The new office, which officially opened 5 March during the Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show, features a studio that has been custom built for 24 onsite European trained designers and a team of jewellers and diamond setters who specialise in small-scale, high-quality jewellery production. It also has a showroom, sales offices and a finishing department.
Palloys Group managing director Andrew Cochineas said that the new showrooms were “evidence of [Palloys’] commitment to service the international jewellery trade”.
“The new facility not only gives us much more space to showcase our ever increasing range of findings, but also helps provide for the growing demand for custom design manufacturing (CDM) services,” Cochineas explained.
“While our mainland Chinese production will continue to concentrate on top quality findings and larger volume jewellery orders, the Hong Kong facility is specifically geared towards smaller runs of high-end custom jewellery for independents across the globe.”
GAI’s new Hong Kong facility opens only months after Palloys’ announcement of its expansion to Perth, which was also due to increased services demand. The Perth office offers a comprehensive precious metals service, including CAD/CAM and casting.
GAI is the official agent for Palloys and AGS Metals products in Hong Kong and Greater China, and has been a Palloys Group subsidiary since 2009.
For more than 35 years, GAI has been manufacturing, sourcing and supplying jewellery-related products for customers in Australasia, Europe and the Americas.
The business provides a range of services, including an outsourced design and production model for manufacturing jewellers, and the new office will support its larger custom design manufacturing (CDM) division in mainland China.
Palloys Group is comprised of five businesses – Palloys, AGS Metals, P.J. Williams, Regentco and GAI – that provide jewellery services, including precious metal fabrication, precious and base metal casting, CAD/CAM refining, CDM and jewellery findings.
