Designed to bring together lapidaries and gemmologists, the two-day talk series will fit in with the rest of the Gemboree schedule, allowing attendees to enjoy both events. There will also be a special networking session over drinks.
Guest speakers will cover a range of fascinating topics including “The Corundum Conundrum”, “Colour: How to Tame It And Bring Out The Best In A Gem” and “Tales of MIA in South East-Asian Mines”.
Gemboree takes place at the Rockhampton Showgrounds in Rockhampton, Queensland over the Easter long weekend, 19 to 22 April, with the lapidary symposium being held on Sunday 21 April and Monday 22 April.
