This year’s meeting will be hosted at the Moore Park Golf Club. Registration and a light breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m., and the tee-off time will be 8:30 a.m.
It’s an opportunity to network and socialise with fellow members of the jewellery industry, with meals and drinks provided throughout the day. An Ambrose competition will be one highlight of the day, with no golfing experience required.
The NSW Jewellers Golf Day has been well supported in the past, with more than 80 people participating in the most recent event. Organiser Ray Pontifex of Pontifex Jewellers in Sydney said it was an occasion not to be missed.
“It’s always a great time; it’s an ideal chance to unwind and spend some time meeting and networking with people from the jewellery industry,” he told Jeweller.
“We also raise money for two very worthy causes, and it’s great to think that a fun event like this can make a positive impact on people’s lives.”
Registration is $195 per person, and the money raised will benefit jewellery students studying at TAFE. As an added bonus, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Sala Bai Family Association in Cambodia.
The school was established in 2002 to fight poverty and crime in Cambodia. More than 1,600 students have been trained so far. The organisation aims to help young people find steady employment to support their families.
