Australia’s largest industry buying group undertakes a two-year international trip for its members every other year. Most recently, the group headed to Spain, and previous tours have included South Africa, the USA, Japan, and a Rhine River cruise.
The 14-day itinerary begins in Mumbai and takes members through Jaipur, Agra, and Delhi, with optional extensions to Varanasi and Kerala for those who wish to explore further.
More than 50 members have already registered for the trip, and general manager Glen Pocklington said it would be an unforgettable experience.
“Our travel team is already booking flights and coordinating extensions for those registered,” he explained.
“We still have a few places available on the tour buses, so there’s time for more members to join what is shaping up to be one of our most dynamic trips yet.”
In Mumbai, members will visit the renowned Bharat Diamond Bourse, the world’s largest diamond trading hub, which houses more than 4,000 diamond businesses.
In Jaipur, renowned globally for its skilled stone craftsmanship, the group will visit a gemstone cutting and polishing factory, offering invaluable insights into the sourcing and production processes. Members will also tour the Special Export Processing Zone, where they can place orders directly with leading jewellery manufacturers.
Nationwide Jewellers is offering six months’ interest-free finance on any diamonds, gemstones, or finished jewellery purchased during the trip.
