The presentations, which are free to attend, will be led by director of creative marketing agency TwoCents Group Simon Dell.
Taking place on Sunday 17 March at 11:30am, the first seminar “Shopping: How It's Changing & How Consumers Have Changed” will compare old and new retail models and highlight success stories in different retail channels.
Dell will also present changes in consumer behaviour over the past 20 years and how buying patterns have shifted as technology and social media become more important tools in the way people shop.
The second presentation “Technology: Adapt or Die!” will be held on Monday 18 March at 11:30am. The session will cover the main tools used by customers when they shop, how social media can help businesses grow and why retailers need to seriously consider putting their businesses online in order to reach new markets and survive.
Dell will discuss a range of easy to use software solutions, businesses that are doing “online well”, how to use mobile technology to engage customers as well as how to gauge success.
According to event organisers, Dell has helped to improve many businesses through strategic advice and execution of marketing, branding, social media, digital and advertising. He is also said to have helped traditional businesses embrace both online and traditional retail markets.
The Brisbane jewellery fair will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from 17 to 18 March 2013. Opening hours are Sunday 10am-5pm and Monday 10am-4pm.
