The competition asks retailers to create their own festive window display

Pastiche offers $6,000 in Christmas competition

Following the success of its Mother’s Day-themed visual merchandising competition, jewellery supplier Pastiche has announced a similar contest for the Christmas period.
The Christmas Display Competition, open to existing Pastiche and Lovelinks retailers in the Australasian region, calls upon stores to create their own festive window display using the brand’s products and branding material. 

Retailers are also encouraged to incorporate other initiatives that will encourage sales such as Gift with Purchase items. 

The major prize is a $6,000 travel voucher, while one winner from each of the following regions: NSW/ACT; VIC/TAS; QLD; SA/NTWA; NZ will receive $1,000 credit. Mini prizes of $200 credit will also be awarded to the prime staff member nominated for the winning displays.

Pastiche general manager of sales and marketing, Michael Elliott, said that the positive response received from consumers during the Mother’s Day competition – one consumer noted that their local store’s display was “the talk of the town” – was proof that creative initiatives could help to improve customer experience and strengthen relationships.  

Elliott explained that he hoped the Christmas-themed contest would provide, “Increased exposure in a peak selling period and give our stockist [retailers] something fun and different to do.” 

He advised entrants to “be creative and have fun”. 

Displays will be judged on photos submitted to an independent judging panel that includes editor of Fashion Trend Magazine, Nikita Papas as well as representatives from the three buying groups.  

Participants must maintain their displays for a minimum of two weeks before Christmas and have until Friday 31 January 2014 to enter. Winners will be notified by Monday 17 March.
