ABC earns gold accreditation

Australian independent business ABC Refinery has recently earned accreditation on the Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE), the official network for all Chinese gold sales.

The award means ABC Refinery – a division of Pallion – is now one of just seven international firms with accreditation by both the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) and the SGE.

“Taking Australian gold to the world’s largest physical bullion market is a critical strategic initiative for ABC Refinery and the Pallion group,” Phillip Cochineas, managing director of ABC Refinery said.

“It is also a significant demonstration of the strong bilateral trade between our respective countries,” he added.

To secure accreditation for the Shanghai Gold Exchange, ABC Refinery had to prove its ‘technical excellence’ and the skills and commitment of its staff. It is widely known that SGE takes a firm stance on gold impurities. Accredited gold must be a minimum of 99.99 per cent metallic purity.
