Jewellers invited to make a difference
Posted May 11, 2010 |
The jewellery industry is invited to attend a dinner-dance to help raise
money for a most worthy cause.
Both members and non-members have been welcomed to attend the JAA VIC/TAS June Dinner Dance, which will raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
Last year’s event raised $9,000, which funds research for the 140,000 Australians living with type one diabetes.
JDRF development manager Kallie Blauhorn said, “JAA’s Dinner Dance provides essential funds for the research projects supported by JDRF. It is fantastic to see such generosity making a real difference in the search for a cure.”
The latest fundraiser continues a partnership between the JAA and the JDRF that dates back to August 2008.
The night takes place June 19, from 7pm until 12am at the Florian Function Centre in Elsternwick, Victoria.
Tickets cost $95, and include a 3-course meal, drinks, raffles, auctions and door prizes.
Organisers will also be accepting donations to be auctioned on the big night.
Booking information can be found on the JAA website.
