Train wreck: JAA’s Supplier Sub Committee does more harm than good

Following six months of correspondence, three attempts to arrange a meeting with industry ‘stakeholders’ the JAA Supplier Committee was not a formally constituted committee; it did not have decision-making authority and did not proceed to a formal meeting.

Having announced the important Supplier Sub Committee in April 2025, the JAA made no other mention of it until, and only after Jeweller raised questions, January 2026. The committee did not proceed and there was no outcome.
