Founder of Australian fashion retailer Mode Sportif, Deborah Symond O’Neil, has partnered with the auction house to promote the April auction.

Leonard Joel’s head of Important Jewels, Hamish Sharma, said that reaching new audiences was a priority.

“We are pleased to partner with Deborah Symond O’Neil who will help us target and demystify the bidding process among her digital-savvy audience,” he explained.

“The culture of collecting has become more democratic and the auction room is no longer the exclusive playground of those in the know”.

Another important piece expected to hit the block is an 18-carat Bulgari sapphire and diamond necklace. Symond O’Neil said it was sure to generate tremendous interest.

“The moment I wore the Bulgari suite, I knew it was my favorite piece from the collection,” she said.

“The sapphires transform an outfit and make an incredible statement. The way the necklace falls is so unique, it’s simply magical.”

The collection will be previewed in Melbourne and Sydney prior to the auction which will take place at the Leonard Joel Woolahra showroom.
