The jewellery fair was held from 19-22 June at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). More than 24,000 buyers from 87 countries were recorded, with 61 per cent of visitors coming from outside of Hong Kong.
Informa Markets director of jewellery fairs, Celine Lau, said that a 5 per cent increase in attendance was a positive indicator of market recovery.
“While concerns about the Chinese buyer’s purchasing power surfaced during the September 2024 and March 2025 shows, I’m delighted to report strong attendance figures from China at JGA,” Lau explained.
“Does this translate to higher purchasing volumes? Not necessarily. In today’s complex global economy, buyers are understandably cautious – comparing prices across markets and working closely with vendors to maximise budgets.”
“Nevertheless, we remain positive about the industry after witnessing the jewellery community’s energy and resilience at JGA.”
The jewellery fair featured nearly 1,200 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions, with distinct themed pavilions once again dividing the show floor.
One of the event’s highlights was the return of the Orient Odyssey 2.0, a special pearl jewellery showcase. A virtual tour of the exhibition, hosted by a Chinese content creator, garnered more than 420,000 viewers.
Informa Markets will host Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong, beginning on 15 September. In 2026, Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong will be held from 18 to 21 June at the HKCEC.
