The jewellery fair is organised by Informa Markets and began on 15 September, offering business-to-business (B2B) sourcing opportunities across two locations for one week.
From 15 to 19 September, the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) hosted three co-located fairs, each with a focus on precious materials. From 17 to 21 September, three shows dedicated to finished jewellery, packaging solutions, tools and equipment, and industry-related technologies appeared at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
Celine Lau, director of jewellery fairs at Informa Markets, described it as an unmissable opportunity amid economic uncertainty and a rapidly changing industry.
“JGW arrives at precisely the right moment – offering a platform where innovation, insight and opportunity converge,” Lau explained.
“During periods of market uncertainty, strong relationships become our most precious asset. These face-to-face interactions allow us to strengthen partnerships, gather real-time market intelligence and make confident, informed decisions that will carry our businesses forward.”
Among the key events was the 2025 Conference hosted by the ASEAN Gems & Jewellery Trade Association (AGJA). The event was described as a statement to the long-standing relationship between the AGJA and the Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association (HKJJA).
The event drew a strong turnout of international delegates, industry leaders, and innovators, underscoring ASEAN’s increasing significance in the global jewellery sector.
And the winner is…
Another key highlight was the Sustainability Awards 2025, hosted by Jewellery World Awards, which recognise companies that actively promote environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and governance excellence.
The winners and finalists were celebrated at a Recognition Ceremony hosted by Informa Markets. This edition of the awards consisted of five categories. Lau said the event aimed to celebrate companies with a mission that extends beyond profit.
“Selecting winners proved nearly impossible this year; it was like identifying the brightest star in a dazzling constellation. Our judges deliberated extensively over numerous powerful entries that demonstrated tangible benefits for people, communities and the planet,” Lau explained.
“The jewellery industry clearly flourishes with innovators who are quietly transforming our world, one inspired action at a time.
“Organisations are embracing sustainability despite its inherent complexities because they recognise it’s fundamentally the right path forward. Our 2025 Winners and Finalists aren’t just talking about making a difference; they’re actually doing the hard work that matters for our future.”
The finalists and winners were selected by accomplished experts from diverse fields, both within and outside of the jewellery industry.
