Jewellery buying groups ready for busy weekend in Adelaide

Anticipation is building for the Australian Jewellery Fair in Adelaide, the first mainstream buying event in South Australian history.

Organisers Expertise Events have confirmed that more than 80 exhibitors are scheduled to appear in Adelaide in April, bringing with them more than 15,000 products across fine jewellery, watches, diamonds, gemstones, equipment, packaging and retail services.

Expertise Events managing director, Gary Fitz-Roy, said the Australian Jewellery Fair is an opportunity to connect with the industry in a dynamic environment designed to maximise time on the floor.

“The Australian Jewellery Fair in Adelaide represents an exciting new chapter for our industry,” Fitz-Roy said.

“Bringing a mainstream buying fair to South Australia for the first time creates an incredible opportunity for retailers to start their year strong.

"With 85 exhibitors and more than 15,000 products on display, this is where the industry comes together to connect, discover and do business. There’s simply no better place to see it all in one location.”

Seven leading representative bodies and industry associations will be present, offering retailers the opportunity to meet like-minded professionals, explore professional development programs and discover courses and initiatives designed to support business growth.

Among them are Australia’s jewellery industry buying groups – Nationwide Jewellers, Showcase Jewellers, and the Independent Jewellers Collective – that, over the past year, have collaborated on important projects, including the jewellery apprentices shortage and upcoming changes to financial regulations.

“We’re incredibly excited for the upcoming Australian Jewellery Fair, which has built strong momentum over the past couple of years,” Glen Pocklington of Nationwide Jewellers explained.

"Heading to Adelaide in 2026 provides a fantastic opportunity for our valued members and suppliers to connect and work together, while also gaining some well-earned time out, fresh air and a renewed focus for the year ahead.”

Anthony Enriquez of Showcase Jewellers echoed this sentiment.

“At Showcase, we believe strong industry collaboration is essential, and we are proud to support the Australian Jewellery Fair in Adelaide this April as it brings our jewellery community together,” Enriquez said.

It’s set to be a weekend to remember for the Independent Jewellers Collective, as it launches its new app, which combines its digital offerings in a single, easy-to-reach place.
