Founder of the watch brand, Miami-based entrepreneur Will Stein, flew into Sydney last week as part of a whirlwind visit to Australia to launch the range and rub shoulders with some of Australia’s A-listers. These included Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Sally Obermeder, Sandra Sully, Matt Doran, Natarsha Belling, Blake Worrall-Thompson, Dr Tim Sharp and Jaynie Seal.
Aside from their appeal to the luxury market, Philip Stein watches are also promoted for their wellbeing properties, as espoused by international celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Madonna, Rupert Murdoch, Mel B, Samuel L. Jackson and Sofia Vergara.
Will Stein told Jeweller, “Every system, organ, tissue, cell, and molecule within the human body operates at an ideal frequency, called Harmonic Resonance Frequency (HRF).
“Every Philip Stein watch contains a metal disc that has been infused with a combination of natural frequencies intended to bring us back in rhythm with the earth’s frequencies to help compensate for all the unnatural frequencies we are exposed to in our busy lives,” he said.
Stein stated that the watch was not a medical device nor did he claim it cured diseases, but his company had the ability to tune the disc inside the watch, which he believed could enhance people’s wellbeing.
Launched in 2002 and now sold in 30 countries, the product line has expanded to include a wide range of styles and other lifestyle accessories such as sleep bracelets and wine wands.
Stein claimed the Philip Stein luxury watch brand was the only company offering this technology. It is distributed locally by Duraflex Group Australia.
