Expertise Events has announced a visitor competition; by attending one of the three JAA jewellery fairs one lucky visitor could win a new Peugeot.
As a way to add value for visitors to its jewellery trade fairs Expertise Events has organised a competition where a lucky visitor to any of this year’s fairs could win a new Peugeot 207 XR, valued at $19,990.
Retail visitors who attend any of the operating days of the Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney fairs, you will be automatically entered into the draw after passing through the fair’s registration point. Attendees gain one competition entry for each day attended.
Expertise Events director, Gary Fitz-Roy, said the competition is a part of the company’s 21st birthday celebrations together with the JAA in hosting Australia’s jewellery fairs.
“Essentially the more times you come and do business at any of the fairs, the more entries you get and the greater chance you have of winning the Peugeot,” Fitz-Roy told Jeweller.
The first stop on the 2012 fair calendar is this weekend’s Melbourne Jewellery Fair (March 4-5) the second instalment of the boutique event giving retailers the chance to network with their suppliers.
Not forgetting exhibitors, Expertise has also organised an informal networking ‘happy hour’ with drinks and canapés being distributed through the fair halls from 4pm-5pm on Sunday.
“Visitors can have a glass of wine or beer and network with exhibitors and colleagues,” Fitz-Roy said. “We will have waiters going through the halls helping as we aim to create a very personal atmosphere, particularly at the smaller events like Melbourne.”
Meet and Greet
Online vintage fashion and accessories personality, Bonnie Rose, will act as a “Meet and Greet Hostess” at the fair.
Fitz-Roy said the Melbourne fair aims to create a personalised atmosphere with Rose as a hostess and usher guiding the visitors throughout the halls. “Bonnie will host the fair for the first four hours each day helping guide visitors and making sure people can easily find exhibitors and products,” Fitz-Roy said.
Held at the Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne’s Carlton Gardens, this is the first opportunity for visitors to catch a glimpse of the latest jewellery collections as well as point-of-sale software and innovative packaging and display products for retailers.
Fitz-Roy said, “The Melbourne fair is an ideal opportunity for jewellery retailers to top-up their stock after the busy Christmas rush, effectively setting up the year ahead. They can also get the latest in retail trends from a host of suppliers of finished jewellery, watches, jeweller’s supplies and retail services.”
“In the current market you’d be mad not to come along and assess your options and source new ideas and products,” Fitz-Roy said.
