Ikecho is sponsoring the ‘Pick A Pearl Experience’, held three times a day at the Sydney Fair. To enter, visitors can collect a ticket from the Ikecho at Stand E13.
Three times a day – 11.30 am, 1.30 pm, and 3.30 pm – one lucky visitor will be drawn at random in a raffle to select an oyster shell and collect a piece of pearl jewellery. The competition is free to enter and runs throughout the duration of the Sydney Fair.
The major prize is the Ophelia Pendant, valued at $2,900, which features an Australian free-form Mabe pearl. Made from 9-carat yellow gold, this piece is designed for those who appreciate one-of-a-kind jewellery.
“We’re really excited about the promotion in Sydney. Everyone enjoys something interactive and light-hearted, and it’s a great opportunity to connect with new people — and that’s what events like the Sydney Fair are all about,” CEO Erica Miller told Jeweller.
“Over the past few months, we’ve been working hard to expand our range, and this is a fantastic chance to showcase some of our latest pieces. It should be good fun, and there are some stunning prizes on offer for the lucky winners.”
Other prizes include the Golden Grace Bracelet and the Golden Sunset Pendant, which has matching earrings in rose gold or sterling silver.
This interactive competition follows the popularity of the ‘Diamond Digs’ sandpit giveaway at last year’s Sydney Fair, which was sponsored by Salt and Pepper Diamonds.
In recent years, Ikecho has broadened its horizons with a variety of new releases, including the incorporation of opal jewellery. This year, Miller said Ikecho would be heading to the Sydney Fair with something new to unveil to visitors.
“You’ve always got to keep things fresh — evolving with the times and introducing new pieces and collections,” she said.
“We’ve created new ranges of pearl jewellery for spring and summer, and we’ll also be showcasing fancy-colour lab-grown diamonds, which is a new direction for Ikecho.
“We’ve got some beautiful blues and yellows, as well as striking pinks, that we’re incorporating into our engagement and bridal jewellery. I’m looking forward to showcasing these pieces to retailers and hearing their feedback.”
The International Jewellery Fair will take place at Sydney’s International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour, beginning on 23 August.
