Expertise Events quickly confirmed the return of the Big Night Out in September following a successful launch at the 2025 Sydney Fair. That event provided 250 members of the local jewellery industry to board a cruise through the picturesque Sydney Harbour under the cover of night.
Reception to the event was overwhelmingly positive from all corners of the trade. True to form, the organisers are experimenting with a new format this year to keep the event fresh.
This year's event will be hosted at L'Aqua on Cockle Bay Harbour on Saturday (22 August), providing independent retailers, suppliers, and other trade members with the opportunity to network and unwind in a relaxed setting. Expertise Events managing director Gary Fitz-Roy said it was a night not to be missed.
"Even though last year's event was extremely popular, we're not sitting still. We're constantly looking for new ways to improve our events, and I think people are going to be really impressed with this year's Big Night Out," Fitz-Roy told Jeweller.
"It's going to have all of the same factors we had with last year's cruise – great food and drink, good music, and plenty of networking opportunities, but we're taking it to another level to keep it upbeat and inspiring."

The International Jewellery Fair will be held at the International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Sydney from 22-24 August 2026.
