A team of 15 artisans at Jacob & Co. dedicated more than 1,000 hours to crafting the Fantasy Bra, which Kylie Jenner wore at Victoria’s Secret’s 2026 fashion show in Los Angeles on 18 October. The piece is valued at $USD50 million ($AUD71 million).
The bra features 3,218 individually designed components. At its centre is a 75.54-carat natural fancy vivid yellow diamond, cut in a radiant shape to showcase its colour.
The bra also contains more than 4,410 natural diamonds, including 91 large white diamonds set into the cups, weighing a combined 405.06 carats. Despite being designed to move with the wearer, the finished Fantasy Bra weighs approximately 1.8 kilograms according to Vogue.
The white diamonds set along the cup frames feature six distinct cuts: angel, pear, round brilliant, heart, oval, and marquise. Individual diamonds range from 5.01 to 18.59 carats. Jacob Arabo, founder and creative director of Jacob & Co., highlighted the craftsmanship behind the Fantasy Bra and its visual impact on the runway.
“We wanted to create the most spectacular Fantasy Bra ever made, but value alone was never enough,” Arabo said.
“For me, it had to be about the diamonds, the light, and the movement. We brought together exceptional diamonds in different shapes and sizes, including our proprietary Angel Cut, and designed the piece so that it catches light with every step.”
The design draws on Jacob & Co.’s Rare Touch collection, which explores how precious metals can move with the body like fabric. The team created an articulated 18-carat white gold structure, with cups that curve inward to follow the wearer’s form.
Its production began with sketches and a full-size chipboard model, then used computer-aided design to divide the bra into individual components.
Artisans cast each section using the lost-wax method, set each diamond individually, and assembled the structure by hand.
One of the six shapes used for the larger stones is Jacob & Co.'s proprietary Angel Cut, developed for the company's 40th anniversary. The cut reportedly has 37 facets, a number chosen to reflect Arabo's marriage to his wife, Angela.
Prong and eagle-claw settings secure the larger diamonds, while bezel settings hold diamonds in areas that move more. Pavé-set diamonds fill the remaining spaces, resulting in a design that reflects light as the wearer moves.
The 2026 appearance marked the Fantasy Bra's return to the Victoria's Secret runway for the first time since 2018. The tradition began in 1996, making the latest creation part of a long-running intersection between fine jewellery, fashion, and celebrity.
