Michael Hill sales on rise

Sales climbed to $AU 348.83 million ($NZ 425 million) in the period ended March 31. Same-store sales rose 2.2 per cent to $NZ 388 million.

In local currency terms, Australian sales rose 11 per cent, Canadian revenue was up 21 per cent and US sales gained 7.7 per cent.

Shares of Michael Hill have gained 26 per cent in the past 12 months.
