Harli + Harpa was launched by former Lovisa CEO Shane Fallscheer late last year, and according to a social media post from recently appointed CEO Armando Pedruco, it has now opened its 41st store.
“Chermside Westfield is a proud moment for our whole team! A big well done again to the whole H&H team for this amazing store execution! After 2 days of trade, we would like to thank all our customers who have supported us,” Pedruco said.
The appointment of Pedruco followed a ‘falling out’ with inaugural CEO Cass Fuller. As reported, Fuller has taken the emerging jewellery chain to court amid allegations of lost wages and superannuation after being dismissed in December.
Harli + Harpa sells men’s and women’s jewellery, including necklaces, rings and earrings. Stores are located in shopping centres in Australia, with three additional locations in South Africa. The company is also reportedly exploring an expansion to New Zealand.
Shortly after the launch of the business, Fallscheer foreshadowed a rapid rollout of stores.
“I deliberately opened 20 stores because I needed to get some economies of scale early, and then from here, it’s really just about the right opportunities and the right centres at the right time,” he said.
“I’d be surprised if I don’t do the same number of stores this year. But it won’t be the same with the same frenetic pace of opening them all at once.”
The emerging chain’s key rival, Lovisa, recently reported a 14 per cent increase in sales over the past financial year as the company’s global store count passed the 1,000 benchmark.
