In April 2024, the jewellery retailer announced an 18-month agreement with the model, and Kerr has subsequently featured in advertising campaigns, promotional activities, and marketing events. At the time, the 42-year-old noted that one of her first photoshoots was with Michael Hill nearly two decades earlier.
Kerr began modelling as a teenager and rose to fame in 2007 as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. The company has confirmed that she will support the launch of several new ranges over the coming months.
"I’m so honoured to continue my partnership with Michael Hill. From being one of my very first campaigns when I started modelling to now collaborating on exciting new projects, including designing my own collection with the team, it’s been such a rewarding journey with more to come,” Kerr said in a statement.
“The most rewarding part has been feeling like a true collaborator and having the opportunity to be part of the creative process. I’m also passionate about the work Michael Hill does through the Michael Hill Foundation, from empowering women to supporting nature restoration; two causes that are meaningful to me.
“Partnering with a brand that cares about people and the environment is incredibly important, and as an Australian, I feel a real connection to Michael Hill’s rich heritage and the way it continues to play a role in life’s most meaningful moments.”
In August, the company confirmed the appointment of Jonathan Waecker as the new chief executive officer. This followed the passing of founder, Sir Michael Hill, in late July. Michael Hill International currently operates 294 stores across Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.
