Local market welcomes Thomas Sabo collection

The new Thomas Sabo watch and jewellery collection has been unveiled to local media and celebrities in an effort to increase brand awareness and consumer demand.

Thomas Sabo’s spring/summer 2015 range was showcased at an exclusive launch event held in Sydney on Tuesday, 3 February.

Approximately 80 people attended the event, including media personalities Rachael Finch, Kyly Clarke and Luke Jacobz, as well as a number of consumer lifestyle magazine editors. Hanny Freund, an international Thomas Sabo representative, was also present.

New additions to the brand’s Glam & Soul women’s collection featured oriental-inspired designs, minimalistic shapes and structures, and pastel gemstones, while the latest Thomas Sabo timepieces were said to incorporate sparkling accents, and royal blue and rose gold tones.

Phil Edwards, managing director of Thomas Sabo’s local distributor, Duraflex Group Australia, said he had already received excellent feedback on the new range, adding that the launch had garnered strong media support, editorial coverage and positive social media posts from both celebrities and influential bloggers.

“National launch events generate broad and wide-reaching brand awareness which, in turn, drives consumer demand,” Edwards commented. “This of course is of benefit to our retail partners [stockists], who are the core of our business.”

When asked what plans were in the pipeline for the brand in the coming year, Edwards responded, “We can only but assure you that Mr Sabo [Thomas Sabo founder] will continue to inspire and delight fans all over the world this year. 2016 will mark 10 years since the launch of the ever-popular Charm Club collection and celebrations will no doubt commence later this year – stay tuned!”

At the time of publication, Duraflex was in the process of presenting the new collection to retailers located across Australia and New Zealand. The range is expected to be available in stores by March.

Founded in Germany in 1984, Thomas Sabo now operates approximately 250 brand-only stores across five continents. The company has approximately 2,600 global retail stockists, with about 300 located in Australia.
