Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH) confirmed that an unauthorised third party had accessed its UK operation’s systems and obtained information, including names, contact details, and purchase history.
As reported by The Guardian, the company stated that its Korean operation has recently suffered a similar cyberattack, noting that no financial data had been compromised.
“While we have no evidence that your data has been misused to date, phishing attempts, fraud attempts, or unauthorised use of your information may occur,” the email said.
LVMH stated that it has notified the relevant authorities regarding the hack, which occurred on July 2. This is reportedly the third breach of LVMH’s systems in the past three months.
In June, luxury jewellery brand Cartier confirmed its website had been hacked and client data had been stolen. A statement confirmed that limited client information, including names, contact details, and locations, had been stolen.
