Co-founder David Brown, who previously served as the company’s president, has shifted into the role of chairman and will continue to oversee operations while stepping back from daily duties.
Becka Johnson Kibby has been named CEO and will lead daily operations, financial management, and the implementation of strategic initiatives. These changes were described as part of a multi-year succession plan.
“[Becka Johnson Kibby] has earned this role through her commitment to our mission and her willingness to take on increasing responsibility,” Brown said.
Sherry Smith moves from director of business development to vice president of coaching strategies and development. She will lead the expansion of Edge Retail Academy's Business Coaching Program, the organisation's most extensive offering.
Edge Retail Academy is among the largest aggregators of independent jewellery retail data in the world. Retail Edge Consultants provides Jeweller with a monthly analysis of changes and trends identified across more than 400 independent stores in Australia and New Zealand.
The organisation provides business coaching to retail jewellers, focusing on sales, inventory, profitability, recruitment, team performance, and retirement planning. At the International Jewellery Fair in Sydney in August, the company launches its inaugural Business Excellence Awards.
